Every driver who's ever passed a shredded truck tire on the highway has wondered the same thing — could that thing have killed me when it blew — and Adam and Jamie decided to find out by getting their hands on actual truck tires, recreating the conditions of a highway blowout, and pointing the results at Buster standing next to the rig, and then pivoted to the most audacious myth in the episode: whether a car can drive into the open trailer of a moving semi at highway speed the way Kitt did in Knight Rider, which they tested first with a model, then with a full-scale Chevy Camaro at 30 and then 55 miles per hour in the middle of a rainstorm, and Jamie then reinforced the result by exiting the moving truck in reverse, because apparently confirming the myth once wasn't sufficient and Jamie Hyneman does not do things halfway.
